The 2008 vintage continues the tradition consisting of co-fermented Syrah/Viognier from our Queenston Road Vineyard on the St. David's Bench. Aged for 20 months in seasoned French oak demi-muids.
Fruit for this wine was sourced from 25 year old Butler’s Grant Vineyard on the Twenty Mile Bench. The narrow 3 by 6 foot vine spacing "Close-Plant", was hand-harvested and then gently whole bunch pressed. Fermentation: two thirds stainless and one third spontaneous in neutral French oak. The tight lime acidity complemented by the oak...
Beautiful freshness in the glass with notes of floral, grapefruit and lime on the nose. Great refreshring acidity that is sure to please all crowds. Pair with barbecued ginger shrimp, oysters, lemon chicken and chevre cheese.
Light and bright, with lemon-lime aromas and flavours, and a finish that is reminiscent of stone fruit. Enjoy this just off-dry wine with delicately flavoured seafood, mild cheeses and good friends.
It's made very well, with subtle but fairly complex aromas of pear, yellow flowers and even some minerality. It's mid-weight, dry and sleek with nicely dry finish and very good length, with a touch of grapefruit. Classy.
"There's no mistaking the ripe character of the 2010 vintage here. There's a good dollop of tropical fruit on the nose, with more traditional butter, cereal and popcorn notes in the background. Made in a rich style, with fermentation, full malolactic and 10 months aging in older barrels, this makes the most of its smooth texture while maintaining...
A very rich, yet delicate chardonnay with fresh pear and ripe yellow apple aromas and just a hint of citrus and honey. The palate has great texture with bold flavours of peaches and baked pear, hints of butterscotch, caramel and vanilla with citrus notes. Perfectly balanced with a long...
Harvested in perfect condition at temperatures between -10°C and -12°C. The grapes were pressed outside so they would not begin to thaw. Flavours and aromas of dried peaches and apricots. The wine is well balanced with the acidity providing a fresh citrus finish to the wine.
This medium bodied red wine displays aromas and flavours of light red fruits including raspberries and ripe red cherries with a soft and rich texture. Cedar plank salmon and this wine were made for each other. Great with turkey, duck, ham and rich, red pasta sauces.
A Syrah and Merlot dominated blend with small amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot. Dark berry fruit, spice-infused cherry and whiffs of black pepper. It’s medium bodied, generously textured, sporting a fabulous finish that’s well balanced and brimming with sweet succulent dark fruit flavour.
Aromas of red and black fruits with notes of violets and lavender. The palate is rich with flavours of plum, blackcurrant and spice. The tannins are firm and there is an excellent balance of acidity. The wine finishes with a long, savoury note.
Pretty aromatics that show fresh-picked cherries, raspberries and touches of pomegranate, spice and subtle oak tones. It's just so silky smooth on the palate with forward red fruits and integrated spice already. A beauty.
Hand harvested from the oldest vines at Lailey Vineyard, planted in 1978, this Pommard clone produces grapes that are small with very intense red fruit flavours. This wine delivers power as well as delicacy. Floral tones followed by crushed red fruits with spice aromas and a woodsy-mushroom note and a sweet oaky finish.
Light and delicate in aroma and palate, this slightly off dry Gewurztraminer is typical of the Alsatian wine style. Produced from hand selected grapes harvested early in the season, cold fermented to capture the unique characteristics of the grape, this wine shows grapefruit, apricots and lychee nut. Finishes dry and crisp with a refined and seamless...
This distinct Riesling consists of white flowers and melon aromas. The palate is a crisp balance of green apple, ripe pears, preserved lemon and exotic fruit which draws to a very tart finish. This white wine offers a fragrant balance of floral characteristics and steely minerality.
Fresh peach and warm toasted notes, pleasantly supported by a refreshing palate of apple and lemon peel. This sparkling Rose is perfect for any occasion. Crafted in the time honored "methode...
This exquisite barrel aged reserve Merlot is hand crafted, creating a natural style with typical Merlot characteristics; black cherries, chocolate and whispers of cinnamon.
This wine has been vinified from a selection of late harvested Vidal grapes, capturing a myriad of concentrated citrus flavours in both aroma and palate.
This icewine from the Vidal grape is deep gold in colour, with aromas of tropical fruit, apricot, tangerine and honey. The natural acidity of the wine provides the ideal counterpoint to its delicious sweetness.
An unusual, distinct and incredibly tasty icewine which exaggerates the exuberance of the Gewurztraminer grape. Well balanced with a good backbone of acidity to keep it refreshing. A fine example of the Canadian craft of icewine.
A white companion to our award winning Quintet Red, this wine is a blend of 5 Vinifera varietals: Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. This is a very aromatic wine, barely off-dry with a crisp finish, making this both a food-friendly wine and one to be enjoyed on its own.
The proprietor's Reserve Riesling has the additon of Riesling juice from the 2009 vintage to soften the crisp acidity, add a few floral notes and a touch of tropical fruit.
A truly dry wine with huge flavours of spice and lychee fruit. A uniquely long finish with a good backbone of acidity makes it food friendly or enjoyable on it's own.
A 'retro' style Chardonnay with big fruit, big oak and loads of flavour in each sip of this wine.
This wine contains flavours and aromas of gooseberry and tropical fruit as well as a real honey taste that balances the wines crispness.
Dark and rich in colour, with aromas of cedar, chocolate, dark raspberries and a touch of cassis.
Pinot Noir is probably the most difficult grape to grow properly, hence its nickname the "heartbreak grape". This is a light-bodied wine and a good representative of the 2007 vintage with rose petal and violet undertones. On the palate, very soft tannins with traces of coconut and sweet wood.
Meticulously selected from premium Niagara Peninsula vineyards and aged in barrel for over 24 months to deliver complex flavours and a lingering finish. The components for this Meritage are individually stunning, but when brought together – divine. Complex layers of red berry fruit, smoky cedar and vanilla.
This Reserve, hand crafted, Merlot demonstrates how well Niagara can grow this varietal. It is distinct yet highly approachable and bursts with typical Merlot expressions – black cherries, chocolate, and cinnamon. Full bodied but definitively elegant, this wine is age worthy but also ready to drink now. We just wish there was more!
