Red Tractor Reserve Merlot 2008

This Reserve, hand crafted, Merlot demonstrates how well Niagara can grow this varietal. It is distinct yet highly approachable and bursts with typical Merlot expressions – black cherries, chocolate, and cinnamon. Full bodied but definitively elegant, this wine is age worthy but also ready to drink now. We just wish there was more!

 Best served with game meats, artisan cheeses, stew, curries and cassoulet.

"Garnet red, opaque at core, pinkish rim. Medium intensity nose, stewed fruit, cherry, herbal and chocolate notes. Dry wine, medium acidity with oak and lots of fruit, light to medium tannins, a little fennel on medium finish. " 87 points- Georgia Curtis
